If you’re building or maintaining an online business, one of your top priorities is your audience.
On any given day you think:
>How do I increase my followers?
>How do I give them awesome content?
>How do I turn my followers into paying clients?
It’s a process that involves clarity, consistency, and connections.
Let’s talk clarity…
A successful marketer has a very clear message. People come to a website and they either leave in 30 seconds or engage.
If your message is not spot on they’ll be out of there in less than 30 seconds.
People only come to websites to see what you offer and how it will help them. They want to know #WIIFM – period.
If you don’t portray this point clearly and effectively they will be on to the next one until they find what they need.
So, be clear and speak to your specialties in a way that makes people say, “Oh I need that!” Make them feel as if they could never do it without you. It’s all in the messaging.
Consistency is a must and I want to be very clear that I don’t just mean in showing up day in and day out, but I also mean in your messaging.
I see way too many online-preneurs who one day show up as a health coach and the next day they’re selling business coaching.
Now, let me be even more clear. I’m not saying you can’t do both – you most certainly can. But, you must perfect one before you move onto the next one.
If you’re new to the online space and you’re trying to build your wellness coaching business, stick with that.
Make the decision to be an amazing wellness coach.
When you achieve that goal you may (or may not) have the desire to teach other wellness professionals how to become amazing coaches – awesome, now you have social proof to show them what you did and how it’s possible for them too.
Switching back and forth will create confusion with your people. It will show lack of consistency with your messaging. Perfect one and then make the decision to represent something else.
Finally, make connections with your followers.
I’ve said this a million times – in order to accelerate the know, like, and trust you have to be visible. People need to see you over and over bringing a consistent message to the market place.
Bring your A game and give your people more of you with:
- Live Streaming
- Webinars & workshops
- In person retreats
The more clear and consistent you are the more you’re going to create connections with your followers making them swoon over you.
You will see your people coming to you for awesome content, responding to your emails, reading and sharing your blogs, and then of course, buying your products and services.
If you really want to have raving fans you must define who you are, show up often and with a consistent message, and reach out to your people in a variety of ways to create solid relationships.
